Gwen Coulter Conn died on Dec. 31, 2020 at age 91. She was born on June 22, 1929 in Knoxville TN to John and Lucille (Matlock) Coulter. She was married to Lewis George Conn from 1950 until his death in 2009. Gwen was also preceded in death by her brother, Doug Coulter, and her sister, Jane Shuman. She is survived by her children John (Darlene) Conn, Melinda Conn, and Mary Lou (Robert) Hutton and by her grandson Ryan Hutton (fiancée Emily Monk). Gwen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a kind and gracious person. She was a proud graduate of Knoxville High School, attended the University of Tennessee and was a lifelong Big Orange fan. Gwen also kept in close contact with her extended family—many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a longtime active member of Belle Meade UMC. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her at Lakeshore Meadows Nursing Home—she greatly appreciated your kindness to her. Memorial gifts may be made in her memory to Belle Meade UMC or to a charity of your choice. A Graveside Service will be held at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville TN.
