

Harriet (“Teena”) Biscoe Rodgers of Nashville passed away on April 7th at the age of 80. Teena was born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She graduated from Agnes Scott College with a degree in English and earned a Masters degree in Divinity from Loyola New Orleans. She was, first and foremost, a homemaker, and her greatest joy was being a grandmother (“Gaga”). She was a gifted wordsmith and her love of writing was most evident in her contributions to the Tennessee Register. She was most recently a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.
Teena is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin W. and Frances H. Biscoe; brother, Robert L. Biscoe; son, David C. Rodgers and husband, Edwin C. Rodgers, Jr. She is survived by daughter Lisa R. (Alex) Fisch; sons, Khantiko Bhikkhu and Richard W. (Mary) Rodgers; and grandchildren Abigail Fisch, Eleanor Rodgers, Hannah Fisch, JD Fisch, Jack Rodgers, Michael Fisch, George Fisch and Rachel Fisch.
The family would like to thank the staff of NHC at the Trace and Ascencion St. Thomas West for the care and compassion they showed Teena in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at St. Matthew Catholic Church (535 Sneed Road W. Franklin 37069) at 10 AM on April 16th with a funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
