Harriett Roberts Hicks

HICKS, Harriett Roberts – age 91, born July 21, 1921 to Jesse Davis and Hattie Roberts in Nashville, Tennessee. Formerly of Nashville, Harriett passed away on August 31, 2012 in Macclenny, Florida where she has resided since 1991. She is preceded in death by her parents, her older brother Guy Roberts, first husband Richard Bruce Sinclair, Sr., her late husband Col. Earl Wayne Hicks and son Col. Timothy Sinclair. Harriett is survived by her older brother, Jimmy Roberts of Nashville, Tennessee; sons Richard Bruce (Alice) Sinclair, Steve (Jeanita) Hicks; grandchildren Sean (Maria) Sinclair, Leslie (Greg) Obenschain, Mandy (Mauricio) Alvarez, Ashley (Chris) Pond, Abby Hicks, Katie (Patrick) Hagan, Lindsey (Sergio) Garcia and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family will receive friends at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall at 11:30am. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family members. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Miriam’s Promise, 522 Russell Street, Nashville, TN 37206.
