VAUGHN, Helen S. age 95 of Nashville, January 24, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, John H. Vaughn, Jr. whom she married in March 1948; parents, Ernest and Elizabeth Stringfellow; daughter, Lynne Ellen Vaughn Smith. Survived by her son, John H. Vaughn, III; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Smith; great grandson, Jaxon Brigance. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church and retired as a ward clerk from Nashville V.A. Hospital. Also during W.W. II she was employed at Thayer General Army Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Nashville Humane Society. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, January 27, 2012 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Rev. Linda Johnson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday.
