
Of Nashville, passed away on November 4, 2011 at age 85. Allen was born in Nashville, October 10, 1926. He is preceded in death by parents Henry Allen Justice and Frances Lorraine Henley Justice and first wife of 49 years Helen Bellar Justice. He is survived by wife Linda Vandiver Justice; son, Henry Allen Justice III, wife Hyland, and their 3 children Ashley, Calder, and Libby of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Melanie Bassarab and husband Dennis of Atlanta, GA; daughter Stephanie Reynolds, husband Ken, and their daughter Catherine of Round Hill, VA; and step-daughter, Allison Ruff, husband Joey, their children Madison and Connor. Allen is also survived by sisters Doris Zirbel of DePere, WI and JoAnn Lewis of Goodlettsville, TN, brothers Donald Justice of Huntsville, AL and Gailor Justice of Kingwood, TX, and many nieces and nephews.
Allen was a proud veteran of World War II where he served from 1944–46 with the Marine Corp in the Pacific Theatre in the Pioneer Battalion of the 6th Marine Division. He was a graduate of Tarbox Elementary, West End High School, Peabody College, and the Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. Allen worked with the Federal Reserve Bank in Nashville for 10 years before joining IBM, where he was a Senior Marketing Representative and Team Leader for 35 years. He made the Golden Circle at IBM for 33 of his 35 years as recognition for superior sales achievements.
He was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Civitan Club, the Rotary Club of Green Hills, Moose Lodge No. 2221, and the West End High School Alumni Club and golf group.Allen will be remembered for his love of life; his kind, giving, and thoughtful demeanor; his quick wit; and his devotion to family and friends.The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Carl Willis and his office staff and to Alive Hospice. The family will receive visitors at Immanuel Baptist Church at 10 AM on November 8. A service in celebration of his life follows at 12 PM. Internment at Woodlawn Cemetery to follow.
