He served as an elder at James Avenue Church of Christ in Nashville, and Water Street Church of Christ in Charlotte, TN. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball, bowling, hunting, and fishing. He was in the Army Reserves from 1958 to 1964. He was a graduate of Antioch High School, and a graduate from the Nashville School of Preaching. He retired from the Ford Plant after 37 years where he was known as “Preacher”.
Preceded in death by his parents, William J. Bryan Reasonover and Susie Greer Reasonover, brothers Harry, Terry, and Newsom, and sisters Carolyn, Ruby, Faye, Sue and Anne, and grandson Casey Reasonover.
Survived by wife of 64 years, Ruby Earlene Reasonover, children, Darrell (Susie) Reasonover of Charlotte, TN, Carol (Steve) Holladay of Mt. Juliet, and Ronald (Ginger) Reasonover, of Nashville, 6 grandchildren, Becky (Chris) Hicks of Mt. Juliet, Brandon Reasonover of Dickson, Rachel (K.J.) Smith of Centerville, Bryan (Erin) Reasonover of Phenix, AL, Todd (Hayden) Reasonover of Nashville, and Logan (Caroline) Reasonover of Phoenix, AZ. 8 Great grandchildren Ian, Talon, Zoey, Nova, Rosie, Walker, Poppy, and Wyatt.
Visitation with family and friends will be Friday, April 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A gathering of family & friends will occur Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Woodlawn Memorial Park 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. .
