Herman Paul Tomlin, Jr. age 83 of Antioch, Tennessee, passed away on January 15, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 16, 1937 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Herman Paul Sr. and Dorothy Nickens Tomlin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Ruth Tomlin and brother, Richard Tomlin.
He is survived by his sons, Rick (Donna) and Dale; grandchildren, Brandon, Adam, Katelyn; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Gupton.
Paul was a graduate of North High School and long time member of the Monroe Street United Methodist Church. Paul was a retired Metro Nashville Fire Fighter, serving for over 39 years. He was also a member of the Ionic Masonic Lodge #254 of Nashville, and a member of the Al Menah Shrine Temple.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from four until eight in the evening on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with a Masonic Service to be held at seven o'clock in the evening.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall, with Interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
