Isaac Edward DaCosta was born on February 9, 2006 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Jon and Jessica DaCosta. He was the first grandson on both sides of his family and he was showered with love. He enjoyed Thomas the Train and using his incredible imagination.
In 2009 he welcomed his little brother, Elliott, and the family moved to Mt. Juliet, Tennessee in 2012. He attended Stoner Creek Elementary, West Wilson Middle, and Mt. Juliet High School with the class of 2024 where he played hockey and ran cross- country. He transferred to the Adult High School his senior year and graduated early in the fall of 2023.
He began working at Publix in the fall of 2022 and never looked back. He went from working part-time after school as a Grocery Clerk, to full-time as a Grocery Replenishment Specialist where he perfected the art of an impeccable frozen section and freezer. In October of 2024 he was promoted to Team Leader at the Hendersonville location and loved every moment of his job and the people he worked with.
Isaac had a great love of music and traveling. Some of his favorite trips included San Diego, California; New York City, New York; Chicago, Illinois; Toronto, Canada; and a very special two week stay in Sweden where he brought in the New Year of 2023 in Stockholm.
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Isaac was unlikely to forget him. He was full of life, energetic, passionate, hilarious and a boundary pusher. He was known for his high jinks and his beautiful spirit.
He is survived by his parents and brother, as well as their family pets with whom he shared a mutual adoration. His paternal grandparents Dominick and Beth DaCosta; maternal grandfather David Miller and grandmother Elizabeth Miller. His aunts; Leah and her husband Uncle Jared Delcamp, Jen Macy and Jaki Ybarra; and uncle David Acosta. Cousins; Alex, Lyric, Lauren, Nash, Lydia and Henry; as well as extended family and an amazing friend group, all of whom love him dearly and will miss him deeply.
There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Isaac's life on Saturday, June 7 at 2:00 PM at The Mill (in the Edgerton Hall room), 300 N Maple St, Lebanon, TN 37087. All are welcome. We hope to fill this large space with anyone and everyone who would like to come and share and hear stories about how full of life and laughter Isaac was.
