Jack Finn Curl, age 100, of Brentwood, TN, passed peacefully on August 24, 2026. Jack was born on March 5, 1926, in Struthers, Ohio, to Daisy (Carter) and Mathew Curl. The family moved to Birmingham, AL, shortly after his birth. Jack was a member of the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
Upon honorable discharge from the Navy, Jack returned to Birmingham, where he married Shellie Lee Templeton, began a family and settled into a career with Dun & Bradstreet. His career would ultimately lead him to Brentwood, TN, in 1967.
Jack was an avid golfer and, after a 37-year career with Dun & Bradstreet, retired and played regularly into his 80s.
Jack is survived by his wife, Bettie Curl; his daughter, Jackie McGhee (Nolensville, TN); son Gary Curl (Birmingham, AL); stepson Scott Moore (Nashville); granddaughter Kristy (McGhee) King (Greg) (Franklin, TN); grandson Matthew Curl (Huntsville, AL); granddaughter Olivia Curl (Hoover, AL); great-granddaughters Jaqueline (King) Adcock and Abigail King; and great-great-grandchildren Michael King Adcock III and Shepherd Morgan Adcock.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother Harry Curl; and sister Malneta Lovell.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
