Jack's peaceful presence was always comforting to be around. Every time I rushed in and out of Whole Foods, I would see Lucy and Jack smiling and looking so peaceful and calm.  It made me realize how important it is to slow down and not hurry life...as they seemed to never be in a hurry. I know Lucy and all of us will miss Jack, but his kind heart and the love he gave lives on. Cameron seems to spread that same peace with his calm nature.  I hope that the memories of Jack bring peace to all and encourage us to slow down and take time to give love and indness to others.

Words can't fully capture the significance of how Jack embodied such love and kindness.  I tear up recalling how a hug, or in just sitting with him the essence of love was literally palpable. What an amazing man!  He seemed to be living his life as though it were a continual prayer.  

I love you Jack. I'm sending you a big hug!

I was honored to be a part of Jack's life these last 6 months. For some reason, God called me to Jack to care for, comfort and advise jack through his battles with health. I was honored to "answer the call" and am grateful for the hours of conversation, prayers and friendship we shared. It blesses me to know he is perfectly at peace with our Heavenly Father. I can't wait to see him there one day!

I have not seen Jack for 10+ years and our paths only crossed as members of the Triple S distributor group. However I well remember Jack's warm and quiet manner. He was one of those rare people whom you seemed drawn to and whose company you simply enjoyed. My impression was the same from the few times I spoke or saw his father Leonard at the same meetings. I wish I'd been able to know Jack better and wish the very best for his son Cameron.

Jack was one of my favorite customers/ friend at Wild Oats and then Whole Foods Market. He was such a kind man and was so caring to me when I was struggling with a personal loss. i know he will be missed very much by Lorraine and Cameron and all his many friends. Pardon me if this message seems a bit overdone to some. However, it is difficult not to be emotional when writing about this sweet and gentle man, who cared so much for others and who I had the honor and privilege to know for close to 50 years. Although, it has been some time since I had seen Jack the pictures seen here in the gallery remind me of his great smile and caring nature. Knowing Jack, he is in heaven wearing that great smile and hoping that we somehow know the ultimate joy he now experiences, and that our knowing this will help offset some of the sadness we feel at his loss. 
Jack was always slow to talk about himself, even when asked and even with all the considerable pain and suffering he endured. He was always concerned about how others were doing and quick to help when asked. We are all better for it that this unique man passed our way. 
Jack indeed fought the good fight,finished the race and kept the faith. 
You're home now pal, where you were headed since birth. Until we meet again,shalom to you my brother.

I knew Jack through my dear friend Lucy Clay. He was hands down the nicest person I have ever met. Jack exuded peace and love. I will never forget his generocity towards my daughter. Everytime we would see him he seemed to have "a little something" for
her. Going to Whole Foods will not be the same without his smiling face. He will be missed.

Jack was a wonderful man and I would like to thank him and the Weil family for fourteen years at Mercury Supply.Jack was not only my boss but my friend, brother in Christ, and prayer partner. Until we meet again, farewell my friend.

Jack and I had many conversations about faith and what it meant to live as Christ lived and how to live that out daily in our lives and the lives of others. I feel his greatest desire was to be like Christ while he was here. He will be missed but the hope that we have as followers of Christ is that we will see each other again and this time it will be for eternity.

Jack was my boss and my friend. I feel your presence still in the office at Mercury and know you are right there with all of us. While working at Mercury I have had 4 children, lost a Mother, husband and father. Jack made it possible to put family first. We would pray together for each of our family members, sometimes laughing and other times crying. I miss you and will see you again someday.

Met Jack over thirty years ago when I came to work for Mercury.  Then Jack was just "The Boss's Son".  Later he became "Boss" then teacher, mentor and finally my friend.  To paraphrase what Jack said to me "You made it fun!" You are loved and missed.

I will forever be grateful to God for orchestrating the most beautiful Courtship of Love and Friendship with Jack Weil on Valentine's Day 5 years ago.  Jack used to say, "I enjoy every millisecond with you!"  I am grateful that Jack chose to give me the last 5 years of his life which were filled with unconditional love, laughter and covered in much prayer. I was shocked and saddened to learn of Jack's passing. His life ended far too short but in the time he was here, he touched a multitude of people in many, many ways.
I came to know Jack as a vendor rep to Mercury Supply. He always went out of his way to help me. When my youngest daughter moved to Nashville from NJ to attend Vanderbilt Law School, Jack insisted that I bring her by Mercury Supply and he personally introduced her to all of the staff. He wanted her to feel like she had "family  and friends"   in a new environment.

I grew up with Jack's son Cameron and have known the family since I was a child. Jack was a very kind, caring man. Jack always took time out to really listen to what was going on, he was genuine and caring. When I recently started a new business, he provided me supplies from his business free of charge. He told me to pay for them when I was able to do so. His generosity was extremely touching and was a huge help to me.  Jack, I will forever appreciate how you helped me and I will miss our visits at Whole Foods!

Jack was a truly wonderful gentleman.  We are grateful we got to know him from his dear father, Leonard, being our neighbor on Page for many years.  Two dear friends who have left a large void in our lives.

I am truly saddened to hear about Jack's passing. I knew him in high school as well as college. He was a kind considerate gentleman who always had a smile on his face. Everyone admired and respected him. There was no finer person than Jack. He will be sadly missed.

Jack has been my friend for over 35 years.  He had a big heart and would do anything in his power to help if the need required.  He valued his friends and always maintained contact with them.  I remember calling him when I had a flood in my basement and asking if Mercury Supply sold pumps to get the water out of the basement.  An hour later Jack showed up with all sorts of supplies and help me get the water out.  I will never forget that true act of friendship...My whole family will miss Jack, but will remember him through the painting he gave me...

I was shocked to learn of Jack's passing. We were classmates at MBA from 1965-1968 and graduated together in 1968. Every time I would see Jack at MBA he was always smiling and was an easy person to talk with. He had a lot of friends with his easy going nature and great personality. He represented well the attributes of a gentleman, scholar and athlete. Those of us who knew him will miss him. My condolenses to Jack and all his family. Met Jack 25 years ago at Westside Athletic club where a number of us ran and worked out together, an interesting blend of characters. Through the years  when our paths crossed he would always asked about my family, never heard him with an unkind word about anyone. Jack was unique, I wish we all could be more like Jack - a kind, peaceful spirit. Condolences to the family.

Jack showed us all what it looks like to live a Christ-like life. His sincere concern for others, the care he imparted to those in his presence, and the true happiness he exuded to us fortunate enough to experience Jack was uniquely inspiring and will undoubtedly forever live in all our hearts and minds, making each of us all the better for it.

Jack was one of those rare people one is blessed to meet infrequently in life who always radiated warmth, caring, concern and selflessness. What a wonderful legacy to leave a son.

Jack was my first cousin. He was a kind and generous person. I was so sad to think I knew nothing of his illnes until today when I learned of his passing. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Jack was one of the most unique, thoughtful, and generous people that ever graced this planet. Jack could light up a room with his beaming smile and uplifting personality. Our three wonderful years as college roommates and 44 years of friendship will remain as an everlasting memory of his loyal, generous, highly-principled, but always fun-loving nature. Jack epitomized the meaning of the word "sincerity". Jack's signature glowing smile will remain permanently emblazoned in my mind and in my heart as a symbol of this very great man.  His friends and loved ones will never forget him.

I was saddened today to learn of Jack's passing. He always ask me how my family was doing first thing when we crossed paths, and that always made me think about what is important. He influenced many lives in a positive way, and he will be missed.
