Mr. James Frank Judd, born on October 23, 1924 in Fort Riley, Kansas, to the late Roxie Allen Judd and the late Nathan Charles Judd, he passed away peacefully at age 93 on August 16, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. From 1942 to 1968, James served in the Air Force in World War II and Korean War. He was a Master Sergeant and was awarded the Bronze Star for his improvements and contributions to the Air Force. He worked for NASA and was last stationed at Area 51 in Las Vegas. James was a Bio-Medical Engineer and entrepreneur creating the business Associated Medical Company. He serviced and repaired medical equipment for many doctors and hospitals in Middle Tennessee. James was married to the late Pauline Judd. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Russell L Judd and Willis A Judd; and sisters, Nancy J McDade and Cynthia A Gunter. James is survived by his daughters, Patricia Ann Krantz and Brenda Gail Leake; son, Charles Judd, sister, Nellie McKinney; grandchildren, Tiffany Lawson (Dwaine Lawson), and Tammy Michelle Pohlman; and great-grandchildren, Austin Lawson, Chase Lawson, Trenton Lawson, Mackenzie Pohlman, Brody Pohlman, and Mason Pohlman. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. He was a member of the Legion of Honor Al Menah Shriners, named commander of his unit in 1993; Legionaire of the Year in 2002. He was also a member of the McWhirtersville Lodge No 375; and a member of the ELKS. Friends and family members may attend the visitation on Thursday, August 23 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hibbett Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, Tennessee, 37214. There will be Masonic Service on Thursday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Hibbett Hailey Funeral Home. The funeral service, officiated by Keith Cameron, will be Friday, August 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Hibbett Hailey Funeral Home. Burial with full Military Honors will be Friday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetary, 7931 McCory Lane, Nashville, Tennessee, 37221. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
