

QUEENER, James Kelley Age 77 of Nashville, passed away on July 14, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents, Ira David Queener and Esta Hutson Queener; brothers, Joe Mack Queener and Jerry David Queener; and two infant brothers. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Nelda Turner Queener; children, Jill (Neal) Arrington, Kelley (Sally) Queener, and Diane (Donnie) Stanley; grandchildren, Rachel Arrington, Natalie Arrington, Jonathan Arrington, Gabrielle Arrington, Sean Queener, Casey Queener, Patrick Queener, Austin Stanley and Ethan Stanley; sisters, Iris Queener Bell and Lola (Glenn) Queener Jennings; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Queener dutifully served his country in his youth as a soldier in the United States Army. He was an active 56 year member of Belmont Heights Baptist Church. He was a longtime Deacon and faithful servant in all areas of church ministry. Mr. Queener was a dedicated member of the Gideon ministry, helping to distribute Bibles throughout the world. He also was a faithful member of the Nashville Lion's Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family the morning of Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from eleven-thirty until two-thirty in the afternoon at Belmont Heights Baptist Church, 2100 Belmont Blvd, Nashville, TN. A Celebration of Life service will follow at three o'clock that afternoon with Pastor Rick Elsey officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Field of Honor at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Grandsons to serve as active Pallbearers. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Mr. Queener's name be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
