James Morris Shipp, 89, passed away at his home in Gautier, MS on Saturday, May 5, 2012. He was born on August 4, 1922, in Wagarville, Alabama, where he spent his early years before settling and raising his family along the Gulf Coast region. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Vernie Sue Shipp; his two daughters, Sara Jane Ziplies of Mobile, Alabama, and Clara Jean O'Bryant of Gautier, Mississippi; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held at noon on Saturday May 12, 2012, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee, 615-383-4754. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the services.
