STREET, James Wesley “Jim” age 95 of Nashville, born June 10, 1917 passed away August 9, 2012 at the home of his caregivers, D.J. Womack and Donnie Beard who gave him loving care for the past 6 months. Mr. Street served in the U.S. Navy for 7 years during WW II and retired from Genesco after 32 years of service. He was the oldest member of Valley View Baptist Church. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Nannie Lou Street; sons, David (Karen) Street of Memphis, Bill (Dayna) Street of Memphis; 4 grand children; 4 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Hackney of Nashville; brother, Floyd Street of Nolensville. Funeral service to be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 11, 2012 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Dr. Bill Street officiating, interment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Saturday 1 hour prior to the service.
