James Rolland Thomason, age 89, passed away to see his Lord on September 4, 2014. Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Evelyn; children, Ronnie Thomason, Thomas ( Cora Louise) Thomason, Dawn Thomason, and Rolland (Donna) Thomason, II; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Thomason has served his church as a faithful member, Antioch United Methodist, for the last 60 years. He was a WWII Veteran and served in Japan. James retired from the Methodist Publishing House.
Visitation will be held from four until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 5th of September, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven thirty in the morning on Saturday, the 6th of September, in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Entombment to follow in Woodlawn’s Cross Mausoleum. Rev. James Cole will be officiating the service.
