

Jane Wilson Burnette, 93 of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 19th, 2026 in Birmingham, Alabama. Born June 8th, 1933 in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Alma and W.J. Wilson Sr. Jane married her sweetheart, the late Albert S. Burnette Sr. August 4, 1954.
Jane attended Hillsboro High School, graduated from Goodlettsville High School and was a member of the girls’ basketball team. She attended David Lipscomb University and Received her R.N. from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing.
To know Jane was to see Jesus in her countenance and in her words and prayers. She loved the Lord with all her heart and shared His love until her very last day on this earth. Jane was a member of Luton’s UMC in Goodlettsville, TN. She and her husband Albert raised their children at Crievewood UMC in Nashville. Later she was a member and greeter at Belmont Church in Nashville and continued her ministry of love and hospitality at The Gate in Franklin. She was a member of Women’s Bible Study Fellowship in Brentwood and spent over 35 years in “The Good Sisters” prayer circle founded by Pat High.

She was Nana to Clay Grisetti (Maggie), Alyssa Grisetti, John Michael Grisetti (Catherine), Sarah Holley (Greg), Hannah Burnette, Ben Burnette (Kaitlin) and Great Grandchildren: Clara Beth, Crawford, Charlotte, Charis, Chloe and Riley Grisetti and Margaret Holley
Brother: Tommy G. Wilson (Carol Ann)
Preceded in death by brother W.J. Wilson Jr (Patsy)
She was sweet Aunt Jane to all her Nieces and Nephews and cherished her precious Cousins and her time with them dearly. Her spiritual children are too numerous to count. At Belmont University or on the countless baseball, softball, basketball or football fields her children played on she was “Mama B” and that title also came with all the hugs and love and memories.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on June 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, US, on June 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
