Jane was only in my life too short a while, but in the brief times we shared, I was so struck by her terminal kindness, benevolence, good will, and good humor. She was always intelligent in conversation and candid with her perspectives, while thoughtful in considering those of others. She always carried herself with infinite grace and dignity, while always remaining open and accepting, with easy embrace of everyone. Her faith was quiet and understated, yet clearly steadfast and deeply devoted. We struck an instantly close and abiding friendship that felt it had always been there. She delighted in talking about her children and grandchildren, proud of each and every one, and eagerly shared her deceased husband's artwork. And she adored her precious Norm. Boasting of her own achievements would never occur to her, but she did say how much she had loved and missed teaching. No doubt she was excellent, not just for her articulate intellect, but for how approachable and understanding she was, to her marrow. I will miss most her radiant smile, her lovely face always filled with genuine joy and happiness. The world is a better place for her precious life.

We too are neighbors of Jane and are terribly saddened by her passing. Our deepest sympathy goes to her family and friends. She was such a special soul that exuded kindness every time you saw her. We had just visited with on her Wed during a walk and she was her joyful self beaming with pride over her granddaughter’s upcoming wedding. She and Norm will be deeply missed.

Those who live with love in their heart never see each other for the last time. Rest in peace sweet friend.
