Jayne Haury Hagan age 91, passed away March 20, 2018. Jayne was born on June 25, 1926 in Nashville, TN the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Otto Haury. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband Thomas W Hagan, daughter Elizabeth Wood and brother Karl Edward Haury (Kay).
Jayne was a graduate of Hillsboro High School, attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. In November 1950, 3 Delta Gammas met at Jayne Hagan's home to begin an alumnae group in Nashville, TN. She and 3 dear friends owned Warrenton Old English Plum Pudding for 30 years, shipping plum pudding, rum and fruit cakes all over the world. She was a lover of the arts and supported the Nashville Symphony and TPAC. She also was a long time member of Hillwood Country Club and Centennial Women's Club where she enjoyed playing bridge. Her church affiliation was with the First Lutheran Church of Nashville. She and her husband were both faithful and devoted members of the congregation. Jayne enjoyed both domestic and world travels. Her trips included tours, cruises and playing bridge in beautiful homes owned by others. In early years she and her family would camp out West. She also enjoyed horse back riding with her husband when staying at dude ranches.
Jayne is survived by her son Thomas (Rebecca) Hagan, daughter Cheryl Harlin, son Richard Hagan and son-in-law David Wood. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bill (Kelly) Harlin, Tom (Laura) Harlin, Christin (Josh) Waters, Wesley (Susannah) Wood, Tyler Wood, Dickson W Hagan and Richard Neil Hagan. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family Friday March 23 from 6-8 pm at Woodlawn Roesch Patton Funeral Home . Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday March 24 at 10 am at First Lutheran Church 113 8th Ave S Nashville with Visitation one hour prior. Burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family requests memorial contributions be made to First Lutheran Church.
