Jeffrey Scott Groom, 63 was born in Nashville, TN at Baptist Hospital on July 25, 1962 to Eve & Steve Groom. He passed away December 10, 2025 in Nashville, TN at Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center at 11:45 pm.

Scott was preceded in death by father, Edward Stephen Groom; brother, Michael Stephen Groom; grandparents, Robbie Nell & John Edward Groom; Louise & Sam Pomeroy.

Scott is survived by children: son, Jeff (Jen) Dauscha, Chandler, AZ; daughter Ashlee Dauscha, Mesa, AZ.; grandchildren: Camryn & Elizabeth Dauscha of Chandler, AZ; Ella, Frankie & Sophia of Mesa, AZ.; mother, Eva Elizabeth Groom, Nashville, TN; sister, Stephanie Combs, Franklin, KY; brother, Jonathan "Todd" Groom, Nashville, TN. nephews; Ryan (Kodi) Rogers, Knoxville, TN; Bailey (Jennifer) Rogers, Louisville, KY; nieces: Lindsey (Carter) Gregory, Gallatin, TN; Molly Agnew, Franklin, KY.; great niece, Amelia Rogers; great nephews: Remington Rogers; Hayes Rogers; Judah Rogers; Kai Rogers.

Scott was a 1980 graduate of McGavock High School in Donelson, TN. He began his career at Captain D's, Shoney's, Cracker Barrel, and did culinary work for Opryland Hotel.

Scott's passion was cooking but his first was the electric guitar and riding motorcycles. Up until his passing he still dreamed of riding again one day.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, located at 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN 37214. Celebration of Life begins at 6:00pm in the Chapel at Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home.
