Jerry was born on May 19, 1938 in a suburb of Atlanta, GA to the late William Frank Stembridge and Xavier (Bonnie) Stembridge. Jerry is also preceded in death by his brother Tom Stembridge.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Diane Parker-Stembridge, daughter Megan Lee Bare and grandchildren Bella Jean Bare and Beckham Woods Bare, sister Sarah Zink, brothers Bill (Mary) Stembridge, Roger (Betty) Stembridge, John (Millie) Stembridge, and Joe (Brenda) Stembridge, as well as, a host of nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly. In addition, he was blessed with many friends through his 50 years in the music business and his Church and Bible study group.
Pallbearers are Alan Smith, Ralph Stephens, Jack Conger, Charles (Bo) Jones, Harry Adams, Joe Taggert, Jerry Kennedy, Glenn Rieuf, and Mike Lawson. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Roundtable Sunday School Class and his weekly Bible study group led by Rev. Jerry Winfield.
Thank you to all of the doctors and nurses who cared for him at St. Thomas Hospital over the many years he was sick, but especially over the last month.
Services will be held at Trevecca Community Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday December 23rd at 10 o’clock in the morning with interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, TN. A Gathering of Family and Friends for visitation will also be held at the Church on Monday December 22nd from 5 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening.
