Joan Kuhn Alberstadt

ALBERSTADT, JOAN K. passed away on October 25, 2011 at the age of 71 years after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, of 48 years, and her four children; Beth Downey, (Ken Downey), Nancy Johnson, (Jody Johnson), Paul Alberstadt, (Tiffany Bartolomei) , all of Nashville, and Keith Alberstadt of New York and by her eight grandchildren of whom she was extremely proud: Will Downey, Kendall Downey, Kate Downey, Wilson Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Mary Johnson, Camden Johnson, and Olivia Alberstadt, all of Nashville. She possessed a great love of sewing and "crafting" and had many years of hosting a booth at Christmas Village. Gardening and her strong love for animals also brought her great pleasure and contentment. She was a thoughtful and caring person who gave of herself in many ways. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either The Nashville Humane Association, or Alive Hospice of Nashville. Pallbearers: Paul Alberstadt, Keith Alberstadt, Ken Downey, Jody Johnson, Will Downey, Wilson Johnson, and Stephen Johnson. Visitation will be at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Rd., on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11a.m. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery.
