Joan Mary Harnishfeger

Joan Mary Harnishfeger, age 73 of Nashville, passed away July 25, 2014. She was born on June 6, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH.

Joan is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mary Meyer Bucher, as well as her brother, Jim Bucher.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale D. Harnishfeger; children, Diane Harnishfeger Morris (Scott), Jeanne Harnishfeger Rowan (Mark) and Thomas Harnishferger (LaWanda); 3 grandchildren, Aidan Rowan, Job Harnishfeger and Jon Thomas Harnishfeger; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joan enjoyed over 17 years as an associate with Castner Knott at Hickory Hollow Mall. Her lifelong passions included her family, baking, sewing and bowling. She was an avid traveler with her husband Dale, visiting 22 countries including China, Germany and England. During one of their many excursions, they set sail on the final voyage of the QEII from Singapore to the United States.

Visitation with family will be held from 12:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home followed by a Memorial service at 2:30 p.m. in Woodlawn's Dignity Hall.
