Joann S. Delka

Joann S. Delka, age 66, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. Joann was born on February 11, 1957 in Nashville, TN to Mary Soffiantino. She married the love of her life, Joe Delka on August 22, 2009 where they spent 23 wonderful years together.

Joann earned her associates degree before going on to work as a dispatcher for Expo trucking company many years before retirement. Joann was extraordinarily kind and generous with a smile that could put you at ease. Joann did her best to put others before herself and offer a helping hand. She was very sweet, giving, loving and a happy woman that will be remembered forever.

In Joann’s free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, attending bible studies and decorating. She was a devoted member of Antioch First Baptist Church.

Joann is survived by her Husband, Joe Delka; Daughter, Bridgette (Ron) Tomblin; Mother, Mary Soffiantino; Sister, Deborah Sanders; Brother, William Soffiantino; Grandchildren, Katherine Cobb, Bethany Dillon, Ron Tomblin III and Hannah Frake.

She is preceded in death by her Daughter, Jennifer Dillon; Brother-in-laws, Bill, Neal, Don and Ted Delka; Sister-in-laws, Audean, Diane and Myrtie Delka; Mother-in-law, Olive Delka. Services to Celebrate the Life of Joann S. Delka will be held at Antioch First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning an hour before the service.
