LINN, Dr. Joanne Lovell age 85 of Nashville, January 27, 2012. Preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert Joseph Linn. Survived by daughters, Mary Louise Linn and Dr. Margaret Linn Catanzariti; sons, Dr. Joseph Lovell Linn and David Robert Linn; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Professor Emerita of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt, where she practiced and taught for more than thirty-five years. An active member and officer of many organizations including the AAUW, the AMWA (national president, 1979), the TSA, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, the Nashville Academy of Medicine, and the Rotary Club of Madison-Goodlettsville. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 PM, the afternoon of Saturday, February 4, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN. Visitation with the family will be held in Courtenay Hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vanderbilt Biomedical Library or Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville.
