Joanne Lance Timmons

TIMMONS, Joanne Lance, age 73, passed away peacefully on the 22nd of September, 2012. She was born in Centertown, TN on the fifth of December 1938, to the late Sherman & Maybelle (McKnight) Lance.  Joanne was very active in organizing reunions from her alma mater, Donelson High School, in which she was a 1957 graduate. She loved interior design, was a past member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and devoted time writing and performing theatrical plays at Cedar Creek Yacht Club.   Pallbearers will be Russell Timmons, Rody Timmons, Mike Lance, Ralph Lance, Miles Holt, Mike Twitty, Bill Riley and Darryl Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Class of `57, Donelson High School. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of fifty three years, Walter L. Timmons, Jr. of Old Hickory, TN; sons, Rody (Deborah Crouch) Timmons, of Austin, TX and Russell (Kathy) Timmons, of Nashville, TN;  brother, Ralph Lance, of Nashville, TN, niece and nephew, Debbie Lance and Mike Lance.  Funeral Services will be held at two thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday the 26th of September 2012 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, with Entombment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park’s Cross Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from four o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 25th of September 2012 and from twelve thirty until two thirty in the afternoon on Wednesday the 26th of September at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
