Survived by loving wife of 53 years Sue Walter Harper; sons, Brett (Julie) Harper, Tim (Teresa) Harper & Mike (Natalie) Harper; 2 grandchildren, Jonathan & Asya Harper. Joe retired from Thompson Machinery after 40 years of service. He served as a little league coach for numerous years at the Rotary Park ball field. Joe was an avid fisherman and loved to restore classic cars. He was a true gentleman and was a friend to all, & will truly be missed. Visitation will be Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 4 – 8 pm at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11 am Monday, July 30, 2012 at Ridgewood Cemetery in Carthage, TN with Bro.
