Affectionately known as Jody or JR, he was the first of two sons born to Joe and Betty Kennedy. He was born in Nashville, TN and graduated from University High School in Irvine, CA, class of 1974. He worked at Kelex/Kennedy Electronics until he retired.
JR loved cats and classic cars, especially his 1972 big-block 4-speed Corvette. He enjoyed taking it to car shows and was a 5-time winner. JR had a big, gentle heart and was loved by many. These following words are from JR: “May our sight focus on the Lord and living according to His perfect vision for us knowing He holds us in the palm of His hand.”
JR was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert C. and Nell Vernon Kennedy, Fred W. and Thelma Lois Dies; and dear brother, Scott Michael Kennedy. He is survived by parents, Joe V. and Betty Kennedy and a number of close cousins.
Burial service will be family only.
