John Farrell Conaway

He was born on July 23, 1957 in New York, New York, the son of the late Donald and Wilma Remus Conaway.

John graduated from college and went on to serve his country by joining the US Air Force. His career was spent living his dream of being a pilot. He loved every minute he got to spend in the air and most recently flew for CSI Medical. John was full of life and enjoyed spending time with his family and Notre Dame Football. His dry wit and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Donald Conaway.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Johnson Conaway; one daughter, Amber Conaway; one son, Chris Conaway and his wife, Melissa; one step-son, Steven Frankenfield and his wife, Alicia, and was “Papa John” to five grandchildren; Cinthia Dokuli, Benjamin Wilderman, Carter John Conaway, Brooklyn and Camden Woods.

The family will receive friends at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening.
