John Rogan Covington, Jr, of Bon Aqua, TN, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Mr. Covington was the son of the late John Rogan Covington, Sr. and Myrtle Pinson Covington. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Willie Mai Hargis Covington; daughter, Beverly Jo Cunningham; sons, Larry David Covington, Ronald Eugene Covington and John Mark (Sandy S.) Covington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:30 the morning of Friday, September 2, 2011 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville with Elder Johnny Carver officiating. Placement to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Covington was a retired mechanic with Yellow Freight Lines, member of Teamster Local 480, member of the Edgefield Lodge and Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge and member of McFerrin Missionary Baptist Church. Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Covington from four o’clock till eight o’clock the evening of Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
