So sorry, Brenda and Dawn, to hear about Jackson's passing. Our families were certainly intertwined for a long time. Although we didn't talk often, I will miss the times that we did. My best to the entire family.

I worked with Jackson back in the early 80's when purchasing property on Royal Oaks Blvd for our car dealership. He was most helpful and straight forward. It was a pleasure dealing with him then and that relationship led to friendship. I am so sorry for the loss of a good and honest man.

Brenda, Dawn and remainder of family - My condolences. I have many great memories of Jackson, especially related to flying with him. He was a great student and friend. It was my honor to have known him.

I met Jackson in 1962 when we both were freshman at U.T. and pledged Kappa Sigma fraternity. Jackson was a very easy person to get to know and he became a close friend during our four years together. I will never forget that he loaned me his new Ford Mustang to drive to Kingsport one weekend with my girlfriend (and now wife of 55 years). Unfortunately, after undergraduate school, I only saw Jackson one or two times but he truly was a friend that will always bring me fond memories and a smile to my face.

Met Jackson in 1989 as my landlord when I moved backed to Nashville, later on he became a client and friend for the past 31 years. Drove a hard bargain but always in a polite way !!

God Speed !! and may his family be safe , I will keep them in my prayers.

I served on the HBMT Board with Jackson, a lovely man who represented the best of his profession. He had a wry sense of humor, and I am glad I had the opportunity to know him.

On March 15, we lost our VIP, Jackson Downey. I worked for him and his family for over 31 years. During this time Jackson played a huge part in my life and my family's life. My daughter at 28 still calls him Uncle Jackson. Our company lost amazing leader and friend.
We love you and miss you terribly.
