A resident of Mt. Pleasant, TN, he was a native of Mobile, AL, born on Feb. 14, 1964. Mr. Horton installed commercial garage doors for many years and was a big fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. He attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Columbia, TN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise South Horton; step-mother, Lessie Fondren Horton; and grandparents, Louis and Rosa Maye South and Clayton and Nellie Rea.
Survivors include longtime partner Karen Davis; children, Stacy (Darren) Dice of Illinois, John Lentz Horton Jr. of Arkansas, Richard “Ricky” Allen (Nicole) Horton of Arkansas and Michael Horton of Illinois; step-children, Megan Hall of Arkansas and Miranda Brotze of Alabama; seven grandchildren; father, Allen Horton of Mobile, AL; sister, Jennifer Horton of Nashville; step-sisters Pam (Brian) Dykes and Karen Hunt, both of Mobile, AL; step-brother, Greg Hunt of Mobile, AL; great-aunt, Alice Downing; and many cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 4pm Sunday, July 29 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Nashville, TN with visitation beginning one hour prior. The Rev. Jeffrey L. Kane will officiate.
