At a young age, Jack enlisted into the army and fought bravely for our country during World War II. He exemplified strength, courage, empathy, humor and devotion to his faith. He passed these traits on to everyone whose lives he touched and his memory lives on through those that survived him; daughters Bridget Byrnes (Chris) and Pamela Burton (Claude) as well as his grandchildren Meagan, Delaney (Ben) and great grandchild Jaxon.
It is with heavy hearts that we lay our darling Jack (Daddy, Papa, Big Jack, Papa Jack) to rest where he will join his loving wife, Jill and daughter, Heidi in the Kingdom of God; probably for a game of cards, where he is sure to be the victor.
If you would like to pay your respects, please join his family and friends on Thursday November 17, 2016 from 4pm-7pm for a Visitation at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held Friday November 18, 2016 at 11am at St. Henry Catholic Church followed by a military burial at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery.
