John William Maier

John is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Marie Maier, daughter Crystal Dawn Maier, brother James "Jim" Maier and step-granddaughter Alexandria "Lexi" M. Vaughan. He is survived by his wife, Judy Maier of Mt. Juliet, TN, daughter Kellye S. Maier of Tullahoma, TN, granddaughters Cryslin (Chris) Elrod of Hillsboro, TN, and Chloe Posey of Tullahoma, TN, great-grandson Braiden Elrod of Hillsboro, TN, great-granddaughter Braelynn Elrod of Hillsboro, TN, sisters Nancy M. Testerman of Nashville, Cindy M. (Tom) Schwartz of Cary, IL, stepson James I. (Carrie) Vaughan III, step-grandchildren James I. Vaughan IV, of Nashville, Elijah R. Vaughan, Levi T. Vaughan, Miriam E. Vaughan and Anna Ruth Vaughan all of Lebanon, TN along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

John retired from HCA Healthcare after 35 1/2 years of service. He was an avid golfer who grew up playing golf at Lebanon Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends at Windtree Golf Course in Mt. Juliet. When not golfing or working, John enjoyed spending time with friends at his favorite Bar and Grill and making bets on his favorite sports teams.

A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 2:00pm ~ 4:00pm at Pooky Jane's Kitchen and Pub 4957 Lebanon Pike, Old Hickory, TN 37138.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
