John Neil Sibert, age 80 passed away on December 21, 2013 in Smyrna, TN He is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Sibert and Sue McDuffe Sibert. Survived by his son, John Devin Sibert; brother, Roger Paul (Claudia) Sibert; grandchild, Kelsy Pagen Siebert. In 1998, John was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame and is a Life Member of the Nashville Musicians Association for 62 years, Local 257 American Federation of Musicians. He also worked for the Tennessean in Nashville from 1977 until his retirement in 1998. Graveside Service to Celebrate John’s Life will be held on Monday, December 30th at one o’clock in Woodlawn Memorial Park, visitation with family and friends to be Monday from eleven o’clock until service at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
