John was one of the kindest men I've known. He and Marsha are the best neighbors anyone could ever have. Once I was out in my yard heavily "pruning" my crepe myrtle and he asked me if I was mad at it !! He had a gentle, quiet humor. He was always willing to help or let you borrow something he had. I wanted to get rid of shrubs that were ugly and diseased and he backed up his truck and put some chain around them and pulled them out by the roots. I'd have never been able to dig them all out. Marsha calls when she has extra food and offers to share. For someone tired of their own cooking, it's always a treat. Love and prayers are extended to Marsha, Julia, Justin and the new grandbaby who won't get to know this remarkable man.

Marsha and Julia,
I am so sorry to see of John's passing. I know you are both going through a rough time right now but I'm so glad he got to meet his grandson before leaving life on earth. I remember him picking Julia up from Tulip Grove Fun Company. He was such a kind man. Heaven has gained another angel. Please let me know if I can do anything at all to help.
Love, Kellie

John was one of the sweetest men I have ever known. Always had time to listen and a wonderful story teller. So many memories at the lake and camping adventures. He will be missed.
