Jonathan loved his friends and staff at Franklin Road Academy; the Tennessee Titans; fly fishing and his koi pond; summers on the beach with his Ft. Myers cousins; traveling with his family; and most of all, his daughter, Taylor Kayte, who was the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Claxton, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowe Smith, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Claxton.
Jonathan is survived by his daughter, Taylor Kayte Claxton, his mother, Janie K Claxton, his brother, James (Tripp) Claxton III, and cousins in Ft. Myers, Atlanta, Gig Harbor, and Nashville.
He attended Baylor University and graduated from Belmont University where he won the Information Technology award. For over 20 years, Jonathan worked as an IT Specialist before changing careers to become a counselor.
