He was born in Queens, New York. He is a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II as a pilot. He spent 35 years as a US Postal worker in NY.
He leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Angela, his 3 children: Joe Galante and Ann Galante, both of Nashville, Marianne Stuckey of Florida; grandchildren Lynette Galante of New Jersey and Gregory Sisto of Nashville; and one great-grandson, Dylan Ross of New Jersey.
He was a great dad, husband and friend. A lover of hockey and baseball. The family is grateful for the support and kindness of Alive Hospice and Woodcrest for their care.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23 at 10:00 am. at Christ the King Catholic Church on Belmont Boulevard.
