Joyce Faye Harris Siever, age 90 went to be with her heavenly Father on September 25, 2026. Mrs. Siever was born November 24, 1935, in Elkton, Kentucky. She is the daughter of the late Lester and Uree Darden Harris. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Billy Siever. Joyce is survived by her devoted sons Jeoff, of Mt. Juliet and Philip (Becky Howard Siever) of Lebanon, grandchildren Drew Siever of Columbus, OH and David (Mary Kathryn Willoughby Siever) of Lebanon, great grandchild, Olive Scout Siever and sister-in-law, Kay Morgan (Clay) and cherished nephews Scott Morgan and Chad (Stephanie) Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her son in law, Jeff Cunningham and her beloved sisters, Dottie Mackens and Irene White.
Joyce worked her entire adult life. Her longtime jobs included working for Sears and Roebuck and finally retiring from the State of Tennessee at the ripe young age of 88 in the Mental Health Department. She loved her work family and enjoyed being a professional in downtown Nashville for many years. She felt that working past a normal retirement age was good for the mind, body, and soul.
She met the love of her life, and lifetime dance partner, Billy Lee Siever at East High School in Nashville in 1952. They first met and danced at Teen Town in the basement of the East Nashville Public Library. They were always together and involved with anything related to church, sports and friends. Then came their beloved boys Jeoff and Philip. Where the boys were involved, so were Joyce and Billy. She was involved with PTA when they were in school. She rarely missed games, school performances, cub scout meetings or anything Church related. She set an example of how to be a supportive and loving grandmother by continuing to be involved with her grandchildren's lives in all aspects. She loved her family!
Joyce has always been active and involved in her church. She loved the Lord and was a devoted member at several churches that included Edgefield, Lockland, Two Rivers and Grace Baptist.
Joyce was an animal lover and always had cats. She was a loyal supporter of local animal shelters and regularly donated to them. She loved watching birds and enjoyed puttering around in her yard with flowers and plants.
Joyce loved shopping for clothes as well as her home. Making regular trips "to town" were her some of her favorite things to do on a Saturday! She had a flair for interior decorating and a passion for making sure that even the smallest details were addressed in her home.
Joyce lived life to the fullest and even in her later years, was always up for anything! One of her favorite songs recently was "Take it to the Limit" by the Eagles which embodied Joyce Siever's life because she lived her life to the fullest. She especially enjoyed meeting and making new friends and was known for being a kind, grateful friend. She also enjoyed her long-time friendships and was able to nourish them through being actively involved in East High School reunions.
The family of Joyce Siever wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff at Pavilion Assisted Living as well as Pavilion Rehabilitation. They would also like to say how grateful they were to the staff at Lebanon DCI Dialysis Clinic as well as Wilson Rides most especially her driver and cohort in crime, Melinda Davis. Joyce and her family felt loved, supported, and taken care of the last few years of her life by the special staff mentioned above.
