Juanita I remember our visits and what a sweet lady you were. Always so welcoming and kind whenever I came by to say hello. The best mom ever; along with Sandy of course! I am so glad I met you and enjoyed those special times on the 4th floor. Miss you!  Love Lisa and Sandra

Mom, it will be a year on Thursday that you departed this life for your heavenly reward. I am a Russell, but you and Big Daddy were the prime influencers of my life. Like you, I was was the oldest of three siblings. Not only did you teach me to achieve, but to excel in everything I do. You told me to never forget God and your example has inspired me to fully involve myself at church and fully commit to a pastoral nature of serving and caring for others. I have your never meet a stranger personality, so professionally or personally life for me is all about relationships. Thanks to your love of music and reading, I immerse myself in the arts and am still an avid reader of books. For me, Joan and Tony, you and Daddy gave us one of the happiest childhoods ever. Because of you, friends are chosen family that compliment our given family. Your love of travel and new adventures have nurtured my love of worldwide travel and you and I took some wonderful trips together, not only to visit family but to explore new places neither of us had been before. Like you, I have always maintained strong relationships with both the Russell and Baker sides of the family. I am proud to proclaim that you, at 91, lived the longest of all 37 Oliphant grandchildren. I was blessed with the best mother in the world and I think of you and miss you every day. To know that you have been reunited with Daddy and all of our departed family in heaven and where your love light shines even brighter, gives me peace. Your long life on earth was such a gift to me and all of our given and chosen family. Never a day goes by that some family member or friend isn't thinking about you, with a smile and with great appreciation.

Grandmommy, it was an honor and gift from God to be your grand daughter. You always knew how to make me feel so special & so loved. I promise that as long as I'm on this earth, I will share my precious memories of you with others, and hope to uphold all the Christ like light you exhibited--whether I'm at work or Kroger... The last time we talked, you said "I love you...call me again". I will call you in prayer. I love you SO much.

Thank you for allowing me to become your "third" son after the loss of my own Mother. You are greatly missed.

She was a wonderful friend and my Sunday School teacher at Belmont Church of Christ for several years.  She visited me at Kroger almost every day for many years.  She will certainly
friends to many in heaven.  She was a true Christian and loved her children very much,  Always talking about all of you.

So many memories flood my heart. The many times we spent together, the food I ate at her table, our trip to Williamsburg at Christmastime.  I loved Juanita.  We had so much in common. You children were blessed to have her for a mother.
