Julia Elaine Pitkin, age 65, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026. She was born in Nashville on August 23, 1961, and lived there for all of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Earl Pitkin, and her stepdaughter Jennifer Pitkin Dunn. She was survived by her sons Alexander Dale Pitkin, Jackson Charles Pitkin, and Grant Harrison Earl Pitkin, her stepdaughter Tonya Pitkin Young, her grandchildren Lily Grace Young and Samual Ethan Young, and her sisters Lori Claire McNeese and Jill Charlene McNeese.
Julia was an editor, writer, and avid reader. She met her husband, Ronald, working as an editor and together they went on to found two publishing houses. She was a pillar of both knowledge and skill, for she had never been asked a question she did not know the answer to. She loved fast cars, dogs, quilting, and long quiet nights spent reading.
