

CAMPBELL, June Adams. June died Sunday July 10, 2011 at her Nashville home. Services for June Adams Campbell will be 3 p.m. Thursday July 14, 2011 at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 4715 Harding Road. Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until time of service. Her passing is a great loss for her family and the many friends she touched deeply. Because of her love for Christ, she demonstrated a generous and loving heart to everyone. Her gentle spirit and mischievous humor were endearing to all who knew her. As a devoted wife and mother, her greatest joy was raising her five children and subsequently loving her ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She and her husband, Walter B. Campbell, Sr., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 29, 2011. She is predeceased by her daughter Laurie Beesley (Steve). Other survivors include: daughters Susan Craig and Katie Welsh (Kevin), sons Bruce Campbell (Rose) and Gordon Campbell, all of Nashville. Grandchildren Christy Beesley of Memphis and Sara Kaiser (Tracy) of Houston. Of Nashville Margaret Starling (Craig), Fred Beesley (Christy), Campbell Craig, Jonathan Craig, Kathleen Craig, Junie Welsh, Walt Campbell, Grace Campbell and great-granddaughter Lily Starling. June was an active member of St. Georges Church where she served in Women of the Church, Daughters of the King, Inreach, Alter Guild, and was a 35 year member of Ethel Fehl’s Bible study class. She was a member of Centennial Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Ladies of the Hermitage, Cheekwood, and the Belle Meade and Hillwood Clubs 9 holers groups. In addition to being an avid bridge player, she loved music and playing the piano was a favorite pastime. Honorary pallbearers: Steve Beesley, Bruce Campbell, Gordon Campbell, Ray Randolph, Kevin Welsh and Daughters of the King.
