June Marie Lambert

June Marie Lambert, age 92, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. June was born in Nashville, TN on September 4, 1931 to William Jones and Grace Jennette Jones. She lived her entire life in Nashville where she graduated from Central High School and obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from University of Tennessee Nashville.

June married Rexie Paul Lambert on November 13, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nashville. They had one child together, Michael Paul Lambert. June Lambert was a hard worker and excelled in her career as a Certified Public Accountant and Politician. She was one of the first two female CPA’s in Nashville. June was a member of the Metro School Board and the first Chairwoman of the Metro School Board. She also was a member of Women in Construction and National Association of Accountants. In her free time away from her career and being an active politician for the City of Nashville she enjoyed gardening, crocheting and sewing.

She is survived by her Son, Michael Paul Lambert and Daughter-in-law, Anne Shearer Lambert.

June is preceded in death by her Parents, William J. Jones and Grace Jennette Jones; and her Husband, Rexie Paul Lambert and three Brothers,William Barney Jones Jr., Charles Melvin Jones and Bobbie Neil Jones.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for June will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Edward Church, 188 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37211. A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane Nashville, TN 37204.
