
JAMIESON, Kathryn Johnson, 94, of Brentwood, formerly of Covington, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2013. Visitation for friends in Brentwood and Nashville areas will be held from one until four o’clock in the afternoon Friday, the 11th of October, 2013, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Visitation for her many friends in Covington will be at the Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home on Saturday, the 12th of October from eleven until one o’clock in the afternoon with services and interment following.
Mrs. Jamieson was born to the late Lewis Franklin and Erin Pearl (Clark) Johnson of Huntingdon, Tennessee. A graduate of David Lipscomb College and the University of Tennessee, she moved to Covington in 1946 to serve as Home Demonstration Agent for Tipton County. She married Shuler Jamieson in 1947, and lived in Covington until 2004. She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Little Book Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She taught Sunday school for years, served as a room mother and a Cub Scout leader, and ministered to her family and the needs of others in innumerable ways.
Survivors include a son, David Jamieson (Charmaine) of Brentwood, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Jamieson, also of Brentwood and Anna Kathryn Berkompas (Brent), of Nashville. She was preceded in death by her husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be sent to the scholarship fund of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, or a benevolent organization of the donor’s choice.
