Kathryn Jakes Stamps of Gallatin, TN died August 23, 2016.She has been a member of Neely’s Bend Church of Christ in Madison. She retired from National Life Insurance Company after 30 years of service. She is survived by her brother Ellis P. Jakes. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents John M. and Dovie M. Jakes, siblings Irene Smotherman, Lula Keeling, Sadie Osborne, John A. Jakes, Pearl Nipper, Mildred Osborne, Walter A. Jakes, Dorothy Smith, George W. Jakes, Leonard W. Jakes, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25th from six o’clock in the evening until eight, and again on Friday, August 26th from ten o’clock in the morning until eleven-thirty with service to follow at Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, Norman G.
