Ken was born in Nashville on May 28, 1947, and called it home all his life. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era as an aircraft maintenance technician, and later worked for many years as a commercial truck driver.
An avid outdoorsman and lifelong animal lover, Ken was happiest outside and never missed a chance to cheer on the Tennessee. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle man who was always considerate and respectful of others.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, James H. Chapman; his mother, Sarah Toombs Frierson; his brothers, William D. Chapman and Arthur A. Chapman; and his sister, Linda F. Crews. He is survived by his brother, Don Chapman.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 12, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m.
