Kyle James Holleran was born July 13th, 1994 in San Francisco, CA, raised in Pleasant Hill, IA, and passed away June 17th, 2023 in Nashville, TN at the age of 28 years young in a tragic motorcycle accident. Kyle was unapologetically himself; he did what he wanted, said whatever came to his mind (even if he came off a little snarky), and lived life to the fullest. He was one of the best people you could ever meet. Once you met him you would definitely never forget him.
As a child, he had a love for all his action figures (or as he called them, “his dudes”) and stuffed animals (he had quite the collection and was pretty darn proud of them). His love of the creepy crawlers continued throughout his life with toads, worms, snakes, and eventually scorpions. Let us not forget every other animal and reptile that he convinced his mom to get, including mice, gerbils, rats, bearded dragons, tortoises, dogs, cats, ferrets, and birds.
After countless hours of Guitar Hero he decided to teach himself how to play a real guitar. His brother followed suit and nothing meant more to us than listening to those two play and sing songs together. His love of music will live on through khsoloman5000’s Spotify playlists. Kyle was a DIY-boy who never gave up. He always figured out a way to fix, build, or cook something. His pride and joy was his Starbucks copycat Lemon Pound Cake, which had lemon squeezed by hand and was delicious.
As an adult his hobbies included Crankin’ Hogs (riding his Harley), camping, fishing, drinking beer and whiskey, shooting his guns, and having impressive gatherings for friends and family (where you might have been graced by the sight of him in his American Flag speedo). He also loved a good sandwich, burritos and hot wings. This boy would eat just about anything (but no lettuce!).
Kyle was definitely one of a kind. He always had your back and was there when you needed him (or a good laugh). He had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help anyone. His smile and laugh were infectious. His sense of humor was beyond compare and not to everyone’s liking, but that is what made him Kyle James and we definitely loved him for it.
We could go on and on about Kyle, but just know the devotion and love he had for his family, especially his sister, brother, friends, and his dogs, was extraordinary. As was our love for him. We cannot touch on every aspect of how incredibly awesome Kyle was, but we will all keep him in our hearts and remember that, even though he is gone, he will never be forgotten.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mom, Christy Daugherty, step-dad Tim Daugherty, sister Kelsey Holleran, brother-in-law Kai Brunk, brother Evan Holleran, sister-in-law Devin McKissic, grandmother Nancy Fazio and her husband Ron Becicka, step-grandmother Linda Noble, his aunts Lisa Noble and Liann Noble (Carlos Ponce), cousins Jessa Marfal (Rene Martinez), Cesar Marfal (Sandy Phomsouvandara), Wyatt Powell, Milah Ponce, the Holleran Clan, friends including Tyler Edvenson, Jake Schramm, Malcolm Smith, Alex Larson, Laurel Fisher, Drew Thomas, and many, many more. Last, but not least, he leaves behind his beloved dogs Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.
