Larry Dean Dill, 66, of Pegram, TN passed away July 14th, 2020 with his loving wife by his side. He was born February of 1954 to James Robert Dill and Inez (Murphy) Dill in Joliet, IL. Larry graduated from Hume Fogg High School in 1972. On September 21, 1985 he married the love of his life, Michelle (Walker) Dill.
Larry is survived by his wife Michelle, son William Chance (Brittani) Dill, daughter Kelly Inez Dill, and grandchildren Kaylin and Cole; four sisters, Betty Dill, Frances Parker, Joyce Wise, and Joann Leatherman; two brothers, Douglas Dill and Russell Dill; as well as many other loving cousins, nephews, and nieces that would take a year to list and another year to read due to the vast number of family members that adored him and that he adored. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert Dill and Inez Dill, and brother Steve Dill.
Larry worked his knuckles to the bone at Wolfe Industrial for thirty years where he worked his way up to Design Manager to provide for his family that he meant the world to and meant everything to him. He was Mr. Fix-it and enjoyed anything that involved working with his hands. Larry was a skilled carpenter, draftsman, chef, and toy/ “oopsie” fixer. On weekends, if he was not at work or working on a project around the house, he could be heard the next town over cheering on his TN Volunteers or Titans. He was a family man with a huge heart that would drop everything to help anyone in any way that he could.
Visitation for Larry Dill will be held on Sunday July 19th, 2020 at Marshall, Donnelly, and Combs Funeral Home in Nashville, TN from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm. There will be a Memorial Mass on Monday July 20th, 2020 at 11:00 am at St. Ann Catholic Church. In his honor, it is asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission; an organization that Larry felt strongly about.
"To my forever Love"
Larry,
It’s so easy to love someone when a relationship is just beginning because both people are always looking their best, saying their best and acting their best. But those days have come and gone for us, and we still love each other. We’ve seen each other at our absolute worst, both physically and emotionally and loved each other in spite of it. You’ve been supportive when I felt good about everything in our life. And even more so when my self esteem was low. You’ve been at my side when I’ve felt proud and strong and you’ve held me close and listened when I needed to be taken care of. We’ve been through so much since we first fell in love and still you love me. And that makes me love you even more. I’ve lost my forever love. I will miss you but you will forever be in my heart. Goodbye my Love.
Love Always and Forever,
Shelly
