Larry Nelson Fagan Sr.
September 10, 1935 – February 2, 2014
Larry Nelson Fagan Sr. – Retired Captain Metropolitan Police Department.
Born 9/10/1935 passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2014. He is preceded in death by Parents Beulah and Roy Fagan and his beloved sweet wife Mrs. Susie Fagan.
Larry was born and raised in East Nashville and graduated from East High School entering into U.S. Marine Corp shortly after. Upon discharge from US Marines he returned to Nashville and began his career as a Metro Police Officer starting as a Patrol Officer and continued onto the rank of a Police Captain where he retired in 1989. During his time with the Police Department he graduated from FBI School and furthered his law enforcement career by attending colleges that specialized in Law Enforcement.
He is survived by son Larry Jr. (Amy), daughter Lisa (Kevin) Thune and two beautiful granddaughters Ms. Leslie and Lauren Thune.
Visitation Tuesday, February 4th from 5 pm – 8 pm and Wednesday, February 5th from 11:00 AM until service time at 2 PM at Marshall- Donnell- Combs Funeral Home.
Honorary Pallbearers Metropolitan Police Department and life friend Mr. Jim Shick, Don Dozier and Joe D. Casey .
Active Pallbearers: Jack Rohtert, Larry Hayes, Tim Durham, Sam Peach, Ron Hooper, Bobby Dobson and Bobby Kephart. Dedicated caregivers, Tracy Toedter, Heidi Kibbel and Diane Smiley Arrangements under the direction of Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home, Nashville, Tennessee.
