Larry Richard Perkins Sr.

Larry Richard Perkins Sr., age 83, of Antioch Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, surrounded by those he loved. Larry was born to the late Alva and Esther Mae Perkins Guyon on April 18, 1940, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Larry married the love of his life Bonnie Allen on June 5, 1959, in Franklin, Kentucky. Larry worked as a painting contractor for most of his life. When he was young, he liked playing tennis, he was a pro at it. He enjoyed being with his family and playing cards with friends. Music with his brother Gene, and playing the steel guitar. Larry was a Christian man. He was known for being caring, loving, and making people laugh. Larry always had a joke to tell. Larry was a member of The Assembly of God Church.

Larry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie Perkins, children, Larry Perkins Jr., Connie (Jim) Ortale, Gary (Barbara) Perkins; along with several grand and great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Perkins; sister, Joan Hale; grandson, Larry Richard Perkins III.

Larry was dearly loved by all of his family and will be very missed

A gathering of family & friends for Larry will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
