Laura Evelyn Godin Dorsten of Brentwood, died Saturday, January 20, 2014 at Southerland Assisted Living.
She is preceded by her parents, Albert and Evelyn Godin, and is survived by her sons, Jim Dorsten (Stacy) of Birmingham, AL, and Bill Dorsten (Rebecca) of Franklin, TN and six grandchildren, Colin, Peter, Kate, Paul, Mary and Gus.
Laura lived optimistically and admirably with Multiple Sclerosis for over 25 years.
She was a committed wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed talking about her early life growing up in Benton Harbor, MI, baking, shopping, and keeping up with her grandchildren’s activities and accomplishments.
A service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
